Hotfix update VITA vPAd excellence, VITA SMART.FIRE

After the cyber attack in 2020, VITA Zahnfabrik has checked the device software and made optimizations to close possible security gaps.

In this context, a new server was set up to provide online updates. This new server has a new address that is not recognized by devices in the field with an active network connection and automatic update function.

To store the new server address, these devices must receive the following update:

210415 Software update VITA vPad excellence
210415 Software update furnace VITA SMART.FIRE

You have two options for downloading this update:

1. Enter the following link directly into the web browser of the vPad.
   (Does not apply to VITA SMART.FIRE) 
   vita-vpad-services.com 
   and click the following link: vPad excellence Update 210415
   
   
   
2. Go to the VITA Zahnfabrik homepage to the download area of the VITA vPad excellence. There you can download the update file and save it to your USB stick.
