In April 2011, VITA Zahnfabrik in Bad Säckingen opened the doors to its research and development department to a chosen group of people. Twelve high-calibre dental experts who act as consultants for VITA around the world were offered unique insights into the quality assurance system and new technological developments in the field of ceramics in Bad Säckingen. They were also able to demonstrate their skills in practical exercises.

Among those taking a look at the superb quality standards at VITA's plant in Bad Säckingen for themselves were Prof. Dr. Gerwin Arnetzl, Dr. Andres Baltzer, Luc and Patrick Rutten, and many other top consultants and opinion leaders. In addition to numerous R&D presentations on ceramic processing and CAD/CAM block production, the participants were also able to prepare and conduct individual tests themselves.
The workshop conducted by Rudolf Weiper, which focused on the technological trends of the future in the dental market, was one of the highlights. Weiper ranks among the most sought-after consultants in the field of research into the future. The event was rounded off by a tour of the landmarks in the southern Black Forest in the company of proprietor Henry Rauter. The event highlighted the importance of VITA as a premium manufacturer i the dental market.
