With the winner’s crown in their bag, Luc Rutten, Jen-Chih Tsai, Hiroaki Tada and the patient went to Dr. Jens Gebrande’s dental practice for the final placement. The temporary crown was removed and the tooth stump was cleaned for the last time. Under the watchful eye of Luc Rutten, the chosen restoration was finally tried in. After the esthetic, functional and phonetic control, the crown could finally be conditioned and inserted adhesively in the presence of the course participants.

Successful outcome
The most important thing was that everyone involved in the course was pleased with the outcome. Jen-Chih Tsai and Hiroaki Tada learned a lot during their three day visit and were proud of their accomplishments when they received their training certificates. The patient had nearly accepted her “problematic tooth” over the years, but was delighted with the final result when she came for a follow-up appointment two weeks later. During the trial period with her new restoration, even playing the clarinet became easier for her.
