At the IDS 2017 in Cologne, VITA Zahnfabrik was looking for the face with the ‘perfect match’ with the help of a photo campaign. Finally, young dentist Nađa Ćuk from Bosnia and Herzegovina was found. In late July, the newly-chosen winner was invited to the company headquarters of VITA Zahnfabrik in Bad Säckingen and to a professional photo shoot in Berlin.
VITA Zahnfabrik Opens its Doors
The first event was a company tour. Looking at feldspar as a raw material made it easy to understand that VITA ceramics are natural products. All steps of ceramics production were displayed. Ćuk also saw how artificial teeth are manufactured both individually by humans and automatically in a robotic workflow. “It was amazing to see the synchronized workflows of the production. And I was pleasantly surprised to find that all materials are actually fabricated at the company headquarters in Bad Säckingen,” she said excitedly. She was especially curious about the production of VITA Easyshade V, which is used for digital tooth shade taking and had also been used at the IDS 2017 to determine Ćuk’s tooth shade. The company tour ended with a look behind the scenes of the fabrication of furnaces. She was enthusiastic about the VITA SMART.FIRE: “I love the design! It looks fantastic, like a stereo system!”
Photo Shoot in hip city Berlin
Looking for the ‘perfect match’ between Nađa Ćuk’s personality and the vibrate color schemes of Berlin, the team went to Friedrichshain by the Berlin Wall, to Berlin Friedrichstraße station and to a trendy bar with a unique 20s-style setting to take photos. “We wanted to display as many facets of Nađa and Berlin as possible. So we chose special places in this town,” Head of Corporate Communication and Public Relations at VITA Zahnfabrik, Björn Kersten, described the concept. At the last of the sets, the dentist found her very personal highlight: “This was my absolute favorite. I loved the pinkish, long dress. I looked like a big flower when it twirled around.”
“I felt like a star!”
Photo artist Lars Kroupa was also happy with the results: “Nađa did a great job and slipped into many different roles. She made it possible for us to visualize unique moments. That was the ‘perfect match’ between Nađa and the color schemes of Berlin!” With their new experiences and impressions, the happy winner went back to Bosnia and Herzegovina: “I would like to thank everybody who voted for me, especially to my friends in my hometown in Sarajevo and everybody else around the world. I felt like a star! Thank you so much!”
