Their brilliance gives LUMIN porcelain teeth an attractive appearance. This advantage is further enhanced by their reliability, especially in respect of abrasion resistance. The special material composition, based on VITA's years of experience in the field of ceramics, guarantees the high quality of the teeth. The anterior and side teeth are manually layered and vacuum fired. Ten standard shades are available; others can be manufactured on request. Delivery times are short; and adherence is reliable. The set that matches the patient case is easy to find in the mould chart.
Oval, triangular, rectangular and square variants are available for upper jaws, with matching lower jaw and side teeth sets.
A table shows which combinations are possible. One particular benefit for dental technicians is that they can realize two occlusion concepts in parallel. They can choose between semi-anatomical and flattened masticating surfaces without the need for laborious rework
to match the patient's age. The gold pin in the hard ceramic core guarantees long-term stability by mechanically anchoring the front teeth in the prosthetic base, while the undercut cavity performs the same function for the side teeth.
VITA LUMIN® VACUUM teeth bear a name that is rich in tradition. The "Lumin" effect – the changes in tooth colour caused by different lights – was invented by one of the co-founders of VITA Zahnfabrik: Dr. Carl Hildebrand, a dentist from Essen. Meanwhile, VITA can look back over a history of colour, ceramic and dental expertise spanning more than 80 years. This experience and continued research and development are constantly being incorporated into the modern generation of VITA LUMIN® VACUUM teeth.
