The iF International Forum Design, briefly called iF, has been rewarding excellent designs with the iF awards since 1953. The term product design covers much more than just optimization of the outer appearance. The award is given based on the following evaluation criteria: choice of materials, finish, degree of innovation, environmental impact and design quality. Moreover, the firing system of VITA was rated excellent in the aspects of functionality, ergonomics and safety.
The VITA VACUMAT New Generation firing system, which was created by the internationally renowned Meyer-Hayoz Design Engineering Group, convinced the jury with its modular construction, which enables the user to configure his own individual firing system. The members of the jury were also impressed by the highly userfriendly control of the firing system with the 8.5 inch color touch screen of the VITA vPad control unit, which is available in three different types. VITA vPad excellence, for example, features 1000 freely definable firing programs.
Moreover, firing data can be stored to support the user's quality management. The possibility to create user accounts, so-called User Profiles, which can be write protected if required and include individual programs and settings, is another very useful feature.
