Using this program, the dental surgeon/dental technician can record, edit and manage patient data, dental diagnoses and digital photos at any time and then pass these on at the touch of a button either via email or as a printout. Further strengths of VITA Assist include the documentation of tooth shades that have been determined and bleaching processes, as well as the interactive simulation of full and partial removable prosthetics. In order to provide all of these functions in a single program, VITA has combined the VITA ShadeAssist and VITA ToothConfigurator modules. VITA ShadeAssist guarantees exact transfer and management of all tooth shade information relevant for reproduction, regardless of whether VITA Easyshade or a VITA shade guide is used for shade determination. The VITA ToothConfigurator gives patients the opportunity to make an active contribution to their own prosthetic result and to get some idea of what their new prosthetic will look like as early as the planning phase.
The core component of the module is a virtual tooth library containing the VITA anterior and posterior tooth lines in the VITA Classical shades, 3D-MASTER shades and two BLEACHED COLORS. Using a portrait photograph of the patient, the dental surgeon uses the software to select the most appropriate anterior and posterior tooth set for the patient in question and is then shown a realistic computer simulation of the prosthetic on the screen. This can be changed, modified or adopted as required. The result: greater patient satisfaction and greater accuracy in prosthetic planning. The VITA ToothConfigurator is a consultation tool for dental applications that can be used by dental surgeons to demonstrate to their patients how advanced their treatment methods really are based on the latest technological innovations.
