Unique to the denture tooth is the enamel layer, which similar to natural teeth, thins out from the incisal to the cervical area. The high translucency in this area allows the original to be optimally reproduced. Additionally, the chameleon effect created by the enamel promotes light transmission between the denture teeth and the neighboring natural teeth and tissue. Special emphasis has also been put on the design of the tooth surfaces and angular characteristics; the slightly broadened cervical areas enable secure closure in the interdental spaces and perfectly conceal possible construction elements. The anterior teeth with their higher proportion of enamel are particularly suitable for implant-supported superstructures.
