Simply writing A3 on an order slip is no longer enough to fulfil the esthetic requirements of patients these days. VITA Zahnfabrik is making the user-friendly VITA Assist program with a new, modern design available for free so that all relevant tooth shade information can be managed in one place and communicated as a bundle to the dental technician. The PC software VITA Assist provides the basis for a professional exchange between practice and laboratory. Via a clear and structured patient menu, patient data and documentation of dental findings together with digital dental photographs can be collected intuitively, processed and managed centrally. 

Tooth shade information with recognition value

In terms of tooth shade determination and communication, VITA Assist and VITA Easyshade V act in perfect harmony. The patient's tooth shade is transmitted simply and precisely with the VITA Easyshade V and transferred immediately via Bluetooth into the VITA Assist software. For improved recognition value, the measurement results are now displayed in the same way as on the PC as on the VITA Easyshade V color touchscreen, in the established VITA SYSTEM 3D-MASTER and VITA A1-D4 classical standard shade systems. The shade information is integrated automatically into the middle of the currently open dental photographs and can then be positioned at the place where the clinical tooth shade determination takes place. The patient data and digital photographs with the integrated tooth shade information can then be clearly and seamlessly transmitted to the dental technician via email or as a printout.

By combining patient images and detailed tooth shade information, VITA Assist provides the dental technician with all relevant patient and tooth shade information from the practice to ensure an optimal restorative reproduction. By simply clicking on the determined tooth shade, more details on intermediate shades and shade deviations can be retrieved. Additional image editing functions such as brightness and contrast functions or translucency analysis make it possible to illustrate individual effects on the tooth. Interaction between practice and laboratory can be optimized with precise communication at the touch of a button. This prevents complaints, reduces costs, increases efficiency and in the end, boosts patient satisfaction.
