This is where a block gets its name

"Each block receives the right label." For practitioners, it is absolutely essential that they know what they are holding in their hands. So that there is no confusion, the journey through the production line continues immediately after the gluing of the holder.

Each block is printed on the front side with its corresponding size and shade. The reverse side is printed with the batch number, and behind that, all the important details of a produced batch are placed. The customer also needs to know which material variant he's dealing with. For this reason, each block has its own material logo on the front side. As part of the special printing process, a hint of color is added to a filigree recess in the shape of the logo. A delicate silicone stamp gently picks up the color from there and transfers it precisely to the front of the block. Depending on the material, the logos of VITA SUPRINTY PC or VITA ENAMIC will appear as a printed image. The finished blocks are now positioned with their holders in so-called bars. Before they are packed, the blocks must go through a rigorous inspection by the responsible machine operator. Is the holder positioned correctly? Is the imprint correct and clean? Can any blemishes be seen on the blocks? The final check ensures the accuracy of the blocks, which are then sent out to be utilized in the CAD/CAM workflow and in the patient's mouth.

Patient case Prof. Dr. Alexander Hassel

VITA ENAMIC® ST

In this case history documentation, Prof. Dr. Alexander Hassel (Mannheim, Germany) shows how easy and efficient a VITA ENAMIC ST restoration is to perform and how the highly translucent restoration with the chameleon effect merges optically and functionally with the residual substance of the tooth.
