Microsites
The right mixture makes the difference

09 September

The right mixture makes the difference

For the production of prefabricated teeth, enamel, dentin and cervical materials must be prepared in the appropriate shades.

When we stir it, it's as if we were in a bakery. The ingredients, carefully weighed beforehand, are mixed together to form a dough. First, the matrix is placed in the large mixing pot. "You have to take care to put the powder really slowly into the mixing container; otherwise, the dust will fly in all directions." In the second step, we carefully add the monomer liquid: "In no case must anything spill out here!"

As soon as the powder and the liquid meet, the maturation of the mass begins. The powder particles are partially dissolved by the liquid and swell. The powerful agitator is moved down, sunk in the mixture, and set in motion until a homogeneous dough is formed. Depending on the recipe, the agitator runs for a precisely defined time until the composite mass is ready. The agitator is raised and the dough is removed from the mixing container. A spatula is used to remove the precious contents as completely as possible.

Then the agitator and the container are meticulously cleaned so that they are ready for a new mixture. Meanwhile, the maturation of the composite mass is put on hold again. Packed neatly and provided with the appropriate barcode and material information, it rests in a freezer at sub-zero temperatures and waits to be used.

          Patient case

The new generation of active adults have extremely high expectations of restorations. They desire restorations that integrate harmoniously into their external appearance and emphasize their vitality.

VITAPAN EXCELL is a new generation of anterior teeth that meet a number of significant expectations. The layered construction of this anterior tooth is designed in such a way that it mirrors the natural play of shades. In combination with the multifaceted surface texture, it enables restorations with an especially lifelike play of shade and light. In the following case report, Urban Christen, Denturist, describes the essential steps of a total prosthesis restoration with VITAPAN EXCELL.
